Music: Rock/Pop Adam Green w/ Tim Fite

After unofficially disbanding the Moldy Peaches — a potty-mouthed, fun-time, tantrum band full of spilled Cheerios and poop jokes — Adam Green and his former babysitter (Kimya Dawson) are both onto other things. On his latest solo release, Sixes & Sevens, Green is a little more grown up, though he still hides behind nonsensical lyrics (in the vein of Neutral Milk Hotel or early Beck) while laying his deep, sarcastic swoon of a voice over what could be karaoke-machine tracks of Neil Diamond or Leon Redbone. It's all pretty tongue-in-cheek, but when you aren't listening to what he's saying, Green's earnest vibrato makes you wonder if he's in on his own joke.
